The Antigonish Highland Games are the oldest of their kind outside of Scotland, dating back to 1863. The Games feature a variety of highland competitions, including highland dancing, ancient Scottish heavy events, and piping and drumming. Visitors can also enjoy tug-of-war competitions and live entertainment including the Ceilidhs under the tent. Guests might even like to participate as a competitor in the 5km road race (no kilt required).
